In a remarkable display of India's maritime prowess, the Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd (GRSE) witnessed a historic moment as President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the nation's latest warship, 'INS Vindhyagiri'. Nestled along the tranquil banks of the Hooghly River in Kolkata, West Bengal, this event marked a significant stride in India's naval capabilities.

A Technological Marvel: INS Vindhyagiri

The INS Vindhyagiri is a sterling example of modern naval engineering. A creation of the Defence PSU GRSE, this vessel stands as a beacon of technological advancement. Stretching an impressive 149 metres in length, the warship is categorized as a guided missile frigate. Its commanding displacement of approximately 6,670 tonnes and a remarkable top speed of 28 knots underscore its robustness and agility.

Symbolic Launch by President Droupadi Murmu

President Droupadi Murmu graced the event with her presence, officially inaugurating the INS Vindhyagiri. This significant moment echoes India's commitment to bolstering its naval fleet and ensuring maritime security.
